Oops-I'm late again, but at least I'm here! The election is coming up and I am pumped, but also scared of....certain fates that are best left unsaid *cough* Palin as President *cough* but anyway, here is your quote of the day!

Hocky mom for Obama!
Hilarious video!! A hocky mom and her "moose" husband singing, "Don't speak for me Sarah Palin. The truth is...I do not like you. My kid plays hockey. And I'm his momma. But I'm voting... Barack Obama...." Priceless!

Edible Bras??
There is really nothing else to say. This takes you to an article about a 5 million dollar bra (complete with black diamonds!! Ohhh-shiny) and a gallery of bras that are, while not necessarily edible, definitely weird. And this takes you to a site with a gallery of completely edible bras! Wow-what will they think of next?

The Height of Stupidity
There is no end to the idiotic reality competition shows on tv these days, especiall on channels like MTV and VH1. That doesn't meant that they aren't entertaining, they are. But shows like Paris Hilton's My New BFF and the Pick-Up Artist just go so far as to be ridiculous. I mean, when you look at Mystery, the "Master Pick-Up Artist" you just think, "Is this guy for real?"I've only seen pictures and I even think that! And don't even get me started on Paris. Posing on roller coasters? All night partying? Who's the "fakest?" These are some things that she puts them through and these people eagerly take it. Do they really think that Paris is going to give them the time of day after the show has run? They either just want their 15 minutes of fame, however the can get it or they are extremely self-delusional. The same goes for one of the worst Bravo shows ever: Date my Ex. I didn't watch the shows, but I read the recaps and they made me laugh (and that's what these shows are good for). Jo seems just as idiotic as the Real Housewives that she came from. And the prizes are usually bogus-Paris is NOT going to be your best friend. Jo is NOT going to have a long-term relationship with you-there has to be a Date My Ex 2, right? I'm not condemning anyone who watches these. I think that they are hilarious, but they definitely should not be taken seriously. That said, they are good TV, especially when coupled with one of Tvgasm's recaps.
Quote of the Day (or Week)
Depending on how often I am on, I will post a quote of the day(or week). And today's quote is
"Everything in this room is eatable, even *I'm* eatable! But that is called "cannibalism," my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies."
~Johnny Depp (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

Note
Although I don't believe that anyone read my other blog by the same name, if anyone did, then this is the new, current, improved version. If anyone, miracle or miracles, wants to read this, then this is the one to read.
The Color Purple
So, if anybody wants to read a really good book, I would definitely recommend The Color Purple. It is a great book that addresses so many issues, such as black rights(set in the past), homosexuality, religion, and child abuse, but it does so in a way that is true to life. The book is told through the letters of Celie, a lesbian black woman who was raped and impregnated by her supposed father and later married off to a man who is abusive, both mentally and physically, to God and her sister Nettie. She tells about her life as she tries to cope with her husband, falls in love with a bisexual woman named Shug Avery, and discovers that she can be someone. It is a great read for almost anyone, however, it deals with serious issues and contains a few instances of language. Still,I would definitely want anyone to read it.

Sarah Palin wants to name a kid Zamboni
The title says it all-The current children: Track, Trig, Piper, Bristol, and Willow. And if there ever is another one, it might just be named "Zamboni."
"I always wanted a son named Zamboni," said the vice-presidential hopeful.

Faces in the Broccoli
Ever think that you're seeing things? Well so do these people and apparently, they are. Check out this article.
Apparently, little faces are hiding in our produce. Can't believe it? Neither can I.

Mamma Mia
So, I know that Mamma Mia got some bad reviews, but i really enjoyed it! Meryl Streep is amazing to me because she is so versatile. She was amazing as the stern and business-oriented Miranda Priestly, but she also shines as Donna, a free-spirited mother. I also thought that the movie was cheerful, entertaining, and enjoyable. I loved the upbeat comedy of Donna's friends and the sweet songs of ABBA. All the songs had a place and added something to the movie. I liked the ending as well as the three father figures. I really enjoyed the movie, even though many said that the plot was cheesy. I would recommend it, but only to people who enjoy cheesy feel-good musicals.
